The fear of very owner of a classic Volkswagen is fire, after 2 years of restoration your car disappears in the blink of an eye. Even if your Volkswagen is well insured, you won't get it back, the emotional value is often much higher than what the insurance will reimburse. And now we assume that the insurance will pay, assume you don't get anything!

Better safe than sorry. With this automatic fire extinguishing system, the risk of your engine compartment, or even your entire car, burning is very low, the possible damage remains limited. You may have a fire extinguisher on hand, but what do you do with it when you are not present? And even if you get there in time, the biggest damage is already done before you can handle your fire extinguisher.

This automatic fire extinguishing system is mounted in the engine compartment using the supplied cable ties, where the length of the hose determines the size of the engine compartment. We have already selected the length that suits your VW, with each hose you can see for which Volkswagen it is suitable.

When a temperature of 120 °C is reached, the pressure hose breaks at the point where the high temperature is measured, i.e. above the fire source. The extinguishing agent is released and the fire is extinguished, damage is minimized. The extinguishing agent is not harmful to your classic car and does not harm the environment.

The hose is equipped with a pressure gauge, the higher the temperature, the higher the pressure will be. When the manometer reaches the red part, the hose breaks. Let's hope it never goes that far.

With many insurance companies, you get a reduction in your premium if a fire suppression system is installed, if your insurance company does not already require it as standard.

Note : Check, as stated in the installation instructions, that the pressure gauge and the end stop are tightened properly; occasionally they may not be tightened properly.
